Ed and I met yesterday for further preparation for Ed's presentation tomorrow. The larger group discussion we had last Friday in Colville helped tremendously. We dug a little deeper into the City of Spokane's Street Tree ordinance: it is not clear how formal (policy, guidance, written/unwritten) the City's prohibition on harvesting fruit and nuts is, nor is it apparent what citizen initiated process is available to lift that prohibition. We are hoping that the CAC are the right folks to initiate such a process. We will know more after tomorrow - look forward to seeing as many of you as can make it.
