E Peone Rd is the nearest cross street.

Directions from Spokane (22 minutes - 10 miles): Go North on Division to the "Y", and bear to the right onto N Newport Hwy. After 1.0 miles, turn right (E) onto Hawthorne. Continue east onto Parksmith. Follow the signs to the town of Mead, turning left (N) at the light onto N Market. In Mead, turn right (E) onto E 2nd Ave / E. Peone Rd. Go 0.9 miles then turn left (N) onto N Fairview. Hagarville is the second house on the right.

Phil will go over what transpired in Helena earlier this month, and relate it to food forest efforts in our region. We will also discuss our group's role in upcoming events:


  • The Urban Farm Ordinance Open House on July 30th, 5:30 - 7:30pm. The meeting is in Room 1A and 1B, Spokane Downtown Library, 906 W. Main Avenue.
  • The Community Assembly meeting Friday, August 2nd, from 4 to 6pm.  The meeting is in the Council Briefing Center, Spokane City Hall.
  • The Toby Hemenway workshop, Friday September 13th at the Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture (MAC) in Spokane.
  • The 2013 Inland Northwest Permaculture Convergence, September 13-15, at the MiVoden Retreat Center on Hayden Lake, Idaho
