2015 Inland Northwest Permaculture Design Course?

A message from Michael "Skeeter" Pilarski seeking advice from permaculture-inclined folks in Spokane County, Stevens County and surrounding counties.

 Dear friends,

I am in the process of planning a 2015 permaculture design course (pdc). It looks like it will be held at the Heartsong Retreat Center, near Tum Tum, Washington in southern Stevens County and close to Spokane. We held the 2014 Inland Northwest Permaculture Convergence at Heartsong and it is a lovely venue.

The big question is whether to have it be a multiple weekend pdc, or a two-week residential pdc. The best way to answer this question is to get input from the permaculture community, and most specifically from those people who would like to take the course.

I would love to hear from people interested in taking the course.  What would work best for you? A dispersed weekend course? Or a two-week period?

For the past three years I have done a spring pdc which was 6 weekends, every other weekend. Friday evening, all day Saturday and evening. All day Sunday. In 2015 I am planning a two-week teaching tour in western Washington which wouldn’t make this every other weekend schedule possible.  We could do something like:

February 27-March 1
March 13-15
March 27-29
3-weekend gap
April 24-26
May 8-10
May 22-24
Estimated cost $800

If we did a two-week residential pdc. We would be on site all day every day for two weeks with occasional field trips off site.  It would cost more since we would hire a cook and purchase food. Since some people would be camping we would likely do it during May when the weather is warmer.
Estimated cost $1,000.

We would offer a limited number of fee reductions in exchange for work trade.

Email or call me if you are interested in the course and which schedule you prefer.
