Spokane Valley Partners Community Garden Fall Work Day

October 26, 2013 9am - 1pm

Event date: 10/26/2013 7:00 AM - 1:00 AM Export event

Spokane Valley Partners (SVP) Community Gardens has been a big success in its first year, thanks in great part to the donations and volunteering of local businesses and citizens. We were able to harvest 1,475 pounds of produce, which was distributed at the SVP Food Bank. We are looking for volunteers to help build and arbor and remove plants for composting after our last harvest.

WHEN: October 26th 9:00am

WHERE: The Fresh Start Community Garden is located south of Splash Down Water Park's overflow parking lot behind the shrubs.

111202 E. Mission Ave. Spokane Valley

WHAT TO BRING: Lunch, water bottle, gloves, and a shove, rake or cordless drill.

WHAT KIND OF WORK: Building an arbor, ripping out plants after our last harvest to be composted, and general site cleanup.
