Comfrey (also comphrey) is an important herb in Permaculture Gardening. It is used as a fertilizer, mineral accumulator, guild plant for fruit trees and as an herbal medicine.
The main species used now is Symphytum × uplandicum or Russian comfrey, a hybrid between Symphytum officinale (common comfrey) and Symphytum asperum (rough comfrey).

Update 8/4/2013: I have moved forward with my design plan and thought I would add a picture of what the bed sizes look like fully populated :).
Original Post:
I am trying to develop a strategic project plan for my garden beds this year and would like some feedback and advice before I commit. While I know that making errors is all part of learning I also know that we can learn by other’s experience (and errors). In General we want feedback on how wide to design and construct our polyculture based annual garden beds with wide paths planted with living mulch plants for chop and drop.

Hi all, I want to let people know about this GMO campaign happening in Spokane this Wednesday Jan 23 and other dates on the West side, detailed below.
Many GMO's are going through approval processes and could soon be showing up in ecosystems nearby, and once released may be uncontrollable. Their spread can do permanent damage to heirloom and organic foods, ... Thanks, Seth
